Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 24, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Essential Contracts website and services. By using our website or purchasing or requesting services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Essential Contracts provides services that may include contract-related services and Ohio notary services.
Availability, pricing, scheduling, requirements, and scope may vary by service.
2. Separation of Contract and Notary Services
Contract services and notary services offered by Essential Contracts are separate services.
When acting as a commissioned Notary Public, the notary acts as an impartial witness and performs only authorized notarial acts.
A request for notarization does not include contract drafting, editing, review, interpretation, or advice regarding the contents or legal effect of a document.
Any contract-related service must be requested separately from a notarial service.
Essential Contracts does not provide legal representation and does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Customers should consult a licensed attorney regarding legal questions, legal rights, or matters requiring legal advice.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information necessary to perform requested services.
For notary appointments, customers are responsible for providing any identification, documents, witnesses, or other items required for the requested notarial act.
Essential Contracts reserves the right to decline or discontinue a service when the service cannot lawfully or appropriately be performed.
4. Scheduling and Appointments
Appointment availability is not guaranteed until an appointment has been confirmed.
Customers should provide accurate contact information so Essential Contracts can communicate regarding appointment confirmations, changes, cancellations, or other service-related matters.
5. Fees and Payments
Fees may vary depending on the service requested, location, travel requirements, document complexity, or other applicable factors.
Any applicable charges will be disclosed in connection with the requested service.
Customers are responsible for authorized fees associated with services they request.
6. SMS Terms
Essential Contracts may offer SMS/text-message communications to customers who voluntarily opt in.
Depending on the consent provided, messages may include appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, scheduling information, responses to service inquiries, service updates, follow-up communications, and, when separately authorized, marketing or promotional messages.
Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing services.
To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any SMS message from Essential Contracts. After opting out, you may receive a confirmation that your request has been processed.
For assistance, reply HELP.
Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
You are responsible for ensuring that the mobile number you provide belongs to you or that you are authorized to use it and consent to communications at that number.
SMS consent applies only to communications from Essential Contracts and is not transferable to another business.
For information regarding how mobile information is handled, please review our Privacy Policy.
7. Electronic Communications
By voluntarily providing your email address or other contact information, you authorize Essential Contracts to communicate with you as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries and provide requested services, subject to applicable law and your communication preferences.
Marketing communications will be sent only as permitted by applicable law and applicable consent requirements.
8. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information on our website, but website content may be changed or updated without notice.
Information appearing on the website should not be relied upon as legal advice.
9. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the website design, business branding, original text, graphics, and other original website content are owned by or licensed to Essential Contracts and may not be copied or commercially used without authorization, except as permitted by law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Essential Contracts will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
11. Third-Party Services
Essential Contracts may use third-party providers for scheduling, communications, payments, website functionality, or other business operations.
Use of certain third-party services may also be subject to the provider's applicable terms and privacy practices.
12. Changes to These Terms
Essential Contracts may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with the applicable effective date.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable federal law controls.
